Privacy Policy

Budgetino · Effective 27 August 2026

This policy explains how Budgetino, provided by Yannick Wittwer (“we”), handles information. Budgetino is a private travel-budget planner. It contains no advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics.

Information you create

You may enter trips, dates, budgets, expenses, categories, notes, reminders, and flight details, and import documents such as tickets, confirmations, and receipts. This content is stored on your device. If iCloud is available, Apple’s CloudKit stores it in your private iCloud database so it can sync across your devices.

Sharing and collaboration

When you explicitly share a trip, its content and imported documents are made available through CloudKit to people you invite. Participants with edit access can view and change the shared trip. Their names or Apple Account details may be shown by Apple’s sharing interface. Only share with people you trust. You can manage or stop sharing from the app.

Documents and offline copies

Imported files are copied into Budgetino’s storage and may be uploaded to your private or shared CloudKit database. The originals remain where you selected them. Budgetino may keep local copies for offline access.

Notifications

If you enable expense reminders, Budgetino schedules notifications on your device. Notification permission and delivery are managed by iOS. Budgetino does not send reminder data to a developer-operated server.

What we do not collect

We do not operate an account system or analytics backend and do not receive your trip content, usage history, advertising identifiers, location, contacts, or payment information. Apple may process device, purchase, diagnostic, iCloud, and App Store information under Apple’s own policies.

Retention and deletion

Your content remains until you delete it, leave or stop a shared trip, remove the app’s data, or delete it through iCloud. Deleting a trip removes its expenses, budgets, and associated app content. CloudKit synchronization or backups may delay removal from every device. Removing the app from one device does not necessarily delete data stored in iCloud.

Security and children

Budgetino relies on iOS and iCloud security controls. No system can guarantee absolute security. Budgetino is a general-audience finance utility and is not directed to children under 13.

Your choices and contact

You can use Budgetino locally when iCloud synchronization is unavailable, deny notifications, manage collaborators, and delete app content. For privacy questions or requests, email budgetino@y5k.dev. We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change and will revise the effective date above.
